Day 4 - Continued our journey to Albany

After lunch we continued our journey to Albany. We reached Albany around 6 p.m. and checked in at the B & B at a place called the Terrace. We stayed at the Wren Villa. It was a nice cosy place but was rather cold for us in the evening. Fortunately we brought our warm clothes. I could not connect to the internet as this place required a telephone wire to connect to the phone socket on the wall. I planned to post my blogs as we go along but internet access was not all available at the places where we stayed. That is why I am doing the posting theses few days after I am back home.

Day 4 - On the Way to Albany

On the 4th day we picked up the in Perth and drove down to Albany, stopping at Kojonup for lunch. It was a nice day so walked around for a while and took some pictures.

Day 3 - The Pinnacles

The Pinnacles Desert is a unique and spectacular experience within Nambung National Park, 250 kilometres north of Perth. Rising mysteriously from the dune sands are thousands of limestone pillars , a landscape in eerie contrast to the surrounding heath . Nambung National Park is one of many protected areas in this world-renowned biodiversity hotspot, where an extraordinary range of wildlife and habitats lie within easy reach of each other.

Pictures from Rottnest Island

Some 7,000 years ago rising sea levels separated Rottnest Island from the Australian mainland. The island is formed of limestone rocks with a thin covering of sand. The limestone base affects the types of plants and animals that can survive there, and the six major habitats: coastal, salt lakes, brackish swamps, woodlands, heath and settled areas. Salt lakes occupy ten percent of the area.

The limestone coral reef surrounding Rossnest grew approximately 100,000 years ago when the sea level was thought to be at least three metres higher than the present day. The Rossnest Island Marine Reserve has a far greater range of habitats, marine plants and animals than that of the adjacent mainland coastline.

Fishes seen from glass-hull boat

See the fishes swimming along.

Day 2 - Rottnest Island

We went on a cruise along the Swan River. The tour took a few hours and at the end of the first part we were taken to Rottnest Island. We had lunch on the island before boarding a bus which took us around the island to look at the interesting places at the various parts of the island. We also took a boat tour. This was a special boat which has glass walls on the lower part of the hull so that we could see the fish swimming in the water and the plants that are growing on the sea bed. It was like watching the fish in an aquarium only this is the reverse. It was like we were in an aquarium and the fish were outside. On the sea bed we saw an old ship which went down many many years ago.

Two Weeks' Vacation

I will be away on vacation from 16th to 28th November. Some days I may not be able to post anything on my blog. I left on 16th November for Perth and am now in Perth (2nd day). I shall be continuing to blog when possible as Internet access may not be available in some places. My eldest daughter and her family are bringing us to Perth for this holiday. We arrived in Perth after midnight and were taken to the Hotel in Perth. We reached the hotel this morning around 3 am. After registration we were going up to our rooms when the lift suddenly stopped working and we were stuck in the lift for nearly one hour. Fortunately the lights in the lift didn't go off so it wasn't so stressful. The weather today was sunny so that cheered us for the day. To-morrow we will be going for a cruise along Swan river. I will try to post some pictures of the Bell Tower which we visited to-day when we come back t0-morrw from the cruise as I need to get some rest for to-morrow's trip.

Meanwhile, check these sites so that you can also make a trip here (Perth) when you make enough money:>>> http://abedon.com/tiatan787.htm

Associate's Degree Online

An associate's degree is basically the first half of a bachelor's degree. It is a two-year degree that covers more than just the subjects that relate to a major. A certificate is issued for the successful completion of courses that are all directly related to the topic and does not include general education subjects like English, math, or literature.
An associate's degree does cover some of the general education subjects, but not to the depth and breadth of a bachelor's degree. Most of the credits received while earning an associate's degree can be applied to earning a bachelor's degree.
Sometimes, however, all credits earned are not applicable toward earning a bachelor's degree.
An associate's degree can be earned in many different fields. In law enforcement for example, associate's degree can be earned in law enforcement, private security, or homeland security.
Online education, or distance learning as it is sometimes called, has been the tool that many people have used to get their associate's degrees and even their bachelor's and master's degrees as well.
The internet has made it possible for those who could never have attended a brick-and-mortar college to earn their degrees, get better jobs, and make better lives for themselves and their families.
An associate's degree is a relatively easy degree to get online. It usually takes people about two years to complete the requirements for an associate's degree.
However, that time can be cut considerably by those who have more time to dedicate to class attendance and assignment completion, and who can continue taking classes year-round.
Think of an associate's degree as a spring board. It can be used to launch a person into a better career with more money and a more interesting and rewarding job, or it can be used to launch a person toward a bachelor's degree, a master's degree, or even a doctorate.

Alternative Medicine and Online Education

Modern western medicine practitioners (doctors) have two basic tools -- prescription pad and a knife. Nobody ever wants to hear the word "surgery" and their name used in the same sentence, and prescription drugs all have side effects -- many of which seem to be worse than the illnesses they are supposed to treat. As a result, more and more Americans are turning to alternative medicine to find health care for all kinds of problems.
Obviously all those who practice modern western medicine have all been to college. They have their degrees proudly displayed on the walls of their offices.
Those who desire to practice alternative medicine also need to have college degrees in order to establish their qualifications, expertise, and credibility.
Degrees in many alternative medicine fields can be earned online and from a variety of online colleges and universities. Additonally, many organisations and associations are linked to alternative medicine and the practice of it.
Some areas in which alternative medical degrees can be earned are acupuncture, music therapy, homeopathy, oriental medicine, massage therapy, naturopathy. You may find that some restrictions apply before you can take the tests.
Getting a degree online is so much easier than attending classes at a brick-and-mortar college or university, not to mention far less expensive. Online education, or distance learning as it is sometimes called, allows a student to learn from the convenience of their own home, at times that are acceptable to the student and for a fraction of the cost of traditional college settings.
If you are considering getting an alternative medicine degree, you should check out the online colleges and universities that offer such programs before you make a final decision about the college or university that you will attend. Remember that all colleges and universities don't offer degrees in all of the various disciplines of alternative medicine.

Adults and Online Degrees

Adults who go to college both online and off are sometimes referred to as nontraditional students. I am not sure whether that is an insult or a compliment. Maybe it is neither. . . maybe it just means that the student is not between the ages of 18 and 25. Adults choose to get their degrees at different points in life and for a variety of reasons.
The biggest problem for an adult going after a diploma is that they usually already have families or financial obligations that mean they can't simply drop everything and go to college on campus for four years to get a degree, no matter how much they would like to.
Adults are turning to adult education or distance learning in record numbers. Sometimes they only want to take a few courses or learn new skills that will help them to advance in their jobs. When this is the case, they often opt for getting certificates rather than degrees.
Some, however, may have dreamed of having a college degree all of their lives and may have just discovered that this dreamed-of degree can be achieved online, from the comfort of their homes and at a pace that they can live with.
Adults who opt for getting their degrees online have often been away from formal education for a number of years -- some for more years than others. They really aren't sure that they can even do what needs to be done. Some of them aren't even sure that they can learn at all.
These are some of the reasons that adults are turning in record numbers to online education or distance learning.
They can stick one toe in the pool of education and test the waters (and themselves) without risking public embarrassment if they fail. They very rarely fail.

A Degree in Education Online

There are those who are born to teach. That is their one and only dream in life. . . . to become an educator . . . a teacher. Money has nothing to do with this dream. . . goodness knows teachers are overworked and underpaid. Still, teaching is the only thing that will fulfill the lives of born teachers.
In order to become an educator, however, one must first obtain a college degree, which is a lot easier said than done. Attending a brick-and-mortar college or university and getting a degree that allows one to teach means four full years of attending classes, lectures, labs, etc. Is it cheap? Not a chance! The cost of a four year college education is far outpacing the rate of inflation.
There aren't a lot of hard-working American families who can afford to send a child to college for four years without some financial help. Scholarships and student loans become part of their dinnertime conversations.
During the course of the struggle to figure out how to pay for a college education, some families and potential college students discover that courses can be taken online. Whole degrees in education can be earned online . . . and at a fraction of the cost of a four-year career at a brick-and-mortar college or university. The outcome is the same . . . a degree that allows the born-to-teach teacher to teach and without starting out so deeply in debt that they will spend years crawling out from under it.
The thing a potential online student needs to find out for himself or herself is if an online degree is accepted be the school at which he or she wishes to teach. Online degrees are being accepted more and more often now but all schools do not accept a degree that was totally earned online.
Sometimes a mixture of brick-and-mortar college courses and online college courses is the best answer.

A BA Degree Online

A Bachelor of Arts (BA) degree can open so many doors that will remain firmly closed without one. A BA degree rises the lifetime earning potential of a person by several hundred thousand dollars. A person with only a high school diploma or a GED (General Education Diploma) will usually qualify for entry-level positions in a great many fields. However, with nothing more than a high school diploma or a GED, their hopes for advancing beyond entry level are greatly diminished.
The potential earning power of a person who has a high school diploma or a GED is twice as good as it is for those without either. But the earning potential of a person with a BA degree is twice as good as that of those who only have a high school diploma or a GED.
Getting a BA just makes good financial sense. You will earn twice as much money over your lifetime with a BA degree as you will earn without one.
It all comes down to dollars and cents. The fact is that today a person of any age or background can get a BA degree online.
There are no admission requirements to meet and the cost is only a fraction of that required for attending a brick-and-mortar college or university. The progress toward getting a BA degree can be made at each student's own pace. There are not many requirements for how many credit hours must be signed up for in any given period of time.
Online colleges and universities are the same as brick-and-mortat colleges and universities in many ways. They both issue the same kinds of degrees.
Federal financial aid is available for students who qualify for it for both and scholarships as well as students loans are available for both.

Advantages of Online Degrees

Many people dream of getting a college education that never had the opportunity to do so . . . until now. They work at mundane jobs and see younger, less experienced people pass them by on their way to the top. Of course, these younger and less experienced people all have a college degree hanging on their walls that tell the world that they have been educated and therefore know what they are doing.

[You dont need to have a degree to succeed, check here: http://abedon.com/tiatan787.htm]

A college degree opens doors that will remain closed unless you have one. No matter the field of endeavour, there is a college degree that can help a person advance in that field. It is a well-known and universally accepted fact that those with college degrees earn a lot more money each and every year than those who do not have college degrees -- about twice as much.
The difference in the quality of the house you live in and the car you drive depends almost entirely upon whether or not you have a college degree. The good news is that it is never too late to get a college degree. [Dont forget what I told you about learning for life a few days ago.]
Back in the distant past, only those who were young and had a lot of financial support had access to a college education. But times have changed. The computer changed it! To-day, a college degree can be obtained by almost anybody who has access to a computer --- either a personal computer or a public computer.
Online degrees can be gotten in just about any field, and the cost is only a fraction of the cost of getting an equivalent on a traditional college campus. Not only is the cost a lot less, but classes can be attended and assignments completed in a time frame that is suitable to each student. A college education has become universally available thanks to the computer.

If you are unable to get a degree dont despair; you can still succeed and earn as much if not more working from home, check here:>>>

Accredited Online Universities.

All online colleges and universities are not created equally. Some are nothing but scams and the diplomas that they issue are probably worth less than the paper they are printed on. These bogus degrees will not open the doors that lead them to better jobs and bigger opportunities.
They will only take away the hard-earned money of those who fall for their schemes.
Colleges and universities, both online and off, are accredited when they meet certain required standards of the educations that they provide to their students.
Just like there are colleges and universities in the real world that do not have accreditation, there are online colleges and universities that are not accredited either.
Accreditation is probably the single most important factor to consider when choosing the college or university that you will attend -- whether the school is housed in real brick-and-mortar buildings or on web pages on the Internet.
Online colleges and universities very proudly announce that they are accredited.
They never hide the fact and you will not have to dig through many pages on their websites to discover whether they are accredited or not. The same is true for brick-and-mortar colleges and universities.
They say that they are an accredited institution, both online and offline, They will shout it from their rooftops.
Being accredited is a very good thing and a real selling point. So learning institutions, both online and offline, will not hide the fact that they are accredited. They may well hide the fact that they are NOT accredited, however.
Hiding the fact that an online college or university is usually done by using very slick and flashy advertising. They will never say that they are NOT accredited, they will only NOT say that they are accredited.
If the website that you are looking at for an online college or university does not say in big letters
and upfront that it IS an accredited school, keep looking.

Are Online Degrees Valid?

Are online degrees valid is a very good question and the answer is yes, no, and maybe. Long before the Internet as we know it today was a glimmer in the eye of Bill Gates, there were diploma mills.
They werent invented for the Internet. You could find advertisements in newspapers and magazines that advertised a diploma . . . your choice of degree . . . for a few dollars. A person could mail in his money and got a degree in his name on it by return mail. The Internet has only made the practice more profitable. Diploma mills exist, and they thrive . . . worthless diplomas are printed by the thousands everyday of the week.
These fake diplomas are completely worthless, and any employer can recognize a fake diploma from 40 paces with one eye shut. Diplomas from diploma mills are not valid degrees. They are fakes. On the other hand, degrees earned at accredited online colleges and universities are just as valuable and exactly as valid as a degree earned on the traditional college campus.
The requirements for earning a specifc degree are precisely the same at online colleges and universities as they are at brick-and-mortar colleges and universities. The requirements are the same. The satisfactory completion of specific courses is the same.
The number of academic hours to meet the requirements is identical. A Bachelor of Science degree from the University of Texas at Austin is the very same degree that can be earned from the University of Pheonix Online.
So, the answer is yes. An online degree is absolutely valid if the school is an accredited one.
Sometimes validity, like beauty, is in the eyes of the beholder. All companies and all individual job interviewers see online online degrees in the same way.
More and more, however, online degrees are being recognized for exactly what they are . . . college degrees.

The World is Moving Forward Very Fast

I am not talking about the rotation of our planet earth but about progress in the world . . . . about science, technology, etc which affects peoples' lives. Somebody once said, " The world is moving fast like a train passing by and if we stand still and do not try to catch up we are not staying where we are but actually moving backwards." This means that we must keep on learning to catch up with current knowledge and information or else we will be out of date. In my country our government encourages Learning for Life. In my lifetime I found this very true and I have been trying to catch up with technology . . . . I am still learning. At this time when jobs are being cut and money is harder to find we should use this time to increase our knowledge so that when times are better we are ready to progress. I am providing a few articles to show how we should use this lull period prepare ourselves and go for better prospects. Never stop learning my friends.

Email Marketing No-Nos

Email marketing is part science and part art. There are many people who are very, very successful email marketers. Their yearly income run to six figures and some to seven figures. The money really is out there to be made but it will only be made by those who know how combining the science with the art and avoid making mistakes that can be made in each part.
The artistic email marketing mistakes that can and often are made are both visual and perceptive:
Visual mistakes: Making the lines of your marketing email too long will result in the email arriving in boxes scrambled and unreadable or even if the recipients can read them they are not easily read. Lines of marketing email should never be more than 65 characters long.
Longer lines are scrambled by email programs that only support plain text. Lines that are longer than 65 characters are difficult to read on computer screens.
Perceptive mistakes: The use of ALL CAPS in long blocks of text is not only difficult to read but all capital letters are the written version of vocal shouting.
The use of multiple exclamation points cheapens the email rather than adding excitement as intended. Use only one exclamation point at the end of a sentence for emphasis.
The scientific mistakes that senders of email marketing emails can make are:
1. The failure to practice proven methods to improve the open-rate. It is a scientific sound premise that if emails arent opened, they will not be read and they cannot be acted upon.
2. The failure to track and test each and every email message sent by autoresponders is another scientific error. You must track and test. You need to know what works and what doesnt work. Knowing the test results of a sent message can help you in tweaking future messages to make them more effective.

Good Marketing Email Description

There are a lot of marketing emails that are sent out each and every hour in this country. If you dont believe it, look at the length of time it takes your auto responder to send your own marketing emails.
Sometimes it takes only a few minutes but sometimes it takes several hours for the autoresponder to get around to sending your marketing email to your list. Thats because it is sending marketing emails for other companies and yours just has to get in line and wait its turn.
For this very reason you need to be sure that you are making your marketing emails as good and as effective as they can possibly be.
1. Address the recipient by their name. If you send marketing emails that start out, Dear Friend you are wasting time and energy. These emails will be deleted without being opened, read or acted upon.
2. Double and triple check spelling and grammar. Misspelled words and poor grammar will make you look dumb . . . and nobody is going to buy products from marketers who cant spell and dont know how to use words correctly.
3. Sell only one product per email message. Emails that dont focus on only one topic will be ineffective. You need to concentrate on one subject at a time.
4. Good marketing emails do not ever contain word-wrapped links. All email programs do not deliver email with clickable links. Word-wrapped links will not appear as links but only as words in a plain text format.
5. Good marketing emails do not arrive too often in the same inboxes. The members of your opt-in list gave you permission to email them but not to drown them in advertising. Restrain yourself.
6. All good marketing emails are formatted correctly so that recipients can read them easily. They all contain lines that are no longer than 65 characters and use only ASCII type.

Email Marketers Use Their List to Build Their List

Have you ever noticed that people love to share information with others? Knowing something that somebody else needs to know makes a person feel better about themselves. It gives them self-confidence. They think it makes the person that they share information with think that they are smart and in the know.
Listen to any conversation between neighbours and you will hear them exchanging information about who is the best plumber in town or where the best beauty shop or barber shop is located.
Its human nature and a human trait that savvy email marketers can take full advantage of.
Entice, encourage, and persuade the members of your opt-in list to share your marketing emails or newsletters with their friends, families and co-workers. There are some fairly simple ways to do this.
1. In your newsletter include a coupon for dollars off on an incoming product and tell your list that they will honor the coupon when it is presented by them, as well as, by anybody that they share it with.
2. Include a free gift that the members of your list can share with their friends, families and co-workers. Be certain that the gift can only be downloaded from your website.
3. Send your list a quiz that in some way related to the topic they are most interested in. Encourage them to share the quiz with others and post the answers to the quiz on your website.
Each time someone visits your website you have the opportunity to encourage them to opt-in to your list.
Each time one person opts into your list, you then have an opportunity to get everyone that they know to opt into your list if they can encourage them to share information . . . and they love to share information.

Email Marketers and Joint Venture Give a Ways

Do you know what a joint venture give-a-way is? It is when a group of marketers get together and offer a variety of free gifts to their lists. The offers are usually for very different kinds of things.
For example: there may be an offer for a free ebook on gardening, one for dog care and one for effective email marketing all in the same package, as well as, many other things. The theory behind this kind of joint venture give-a-way is that people who belong to one mailing list may well be interested in products or services that are completely unrelated to the topic of the list that they subscribe to.
People who are interested and invested in email marketing also have kids, pets, hobbies, etc. People are not just one dimensional and savvy marketers have discovered that all members of a joint give-a-way stand an equal opportunity to increase their opt-in lists.
These joint venture give-a-ways most often happen between October and mid-December but they happen at other times of the year as well.
To find joint venture give-a-ways that you might profit from, use your favourite search engines to search for them. You will find at least a few that you may want to participate in.
You will need to have a product that you can give away for free and it needs to be downloadable from your website. In order to download the free gift, the surfer will need to provide his name and email address to you.
Every partner in a joint venture give-a-way sends out the same package offer of the many and varied products in the give-a-way to their own lists so each member has a shot at gaining members of others lists to join their own lists. Its a great list building tactic that is often overlooked.

A Teleseminar for the Email Marketer

Teleseminars are big business on the Internet. There are hundreds of teleseminars held everyday on every topic that one can imagine. Attendance at a teleseminar can be anywhere from a few dollars to hundreds of dollars depending upon the topic and the speakers.
Some think a teleseminar is difficult to pull off and a very expensive proposition to boot. Neither of those assumptions are accurate.
Actually a teleseminar is one of the cheapest of products that can be produced and sold on the internet and all that is really required is a bridge line, a subject and one or more speakers who are well versed on the topic to be discussed.
If you want a recording of the teleseminar that costs extra and if you want a transcript of the call, that is an extra cost as well.
But both the recording and a transcript can become products that can be sold. Marketing a teleseminar to an email marketing opt-in list takes some planning.
The first thing is, you dont want to blind side your recipients by announcing a teleseminar that will take place the same day that they first hear about it from you. You need to prepare your opt-in list for the upcoming event and give them ample notice of the date, the time, the topic and who the speakers will be. Three or even four prior notice emails are not too many.
People will need time to free up their time in order to attend. They will need more than one opportunity to pre-register for the event.
The other thing that is needed for a teleseminar is a good detailed outline of the topic to be discussed and the order in which points will be discussed. Copies of this outline need to be provided to all speakers, hosts, and narrators of the teleseminar well in advance of the event.

Email Marketing Permission Granted

Have you noticed that you get a lot less SPAM now than you used to get? Not that you dont get any, we all get some, but there is so much less of it now than there used to be. Your potential customers are getting less SPAM as well. There are two very good reasons for this reduction of SPAM that appears in everybody's boxes.
One reason is that email filters are just much better than they were a few years ago. Many programs now allow users to choose which emails are delivered to their inboxes and which ones are sent straight to the deleted email file. Some email programs deliver only email that is from senders who have been added to a white list.
The other, and probably the most important reason, is that the Congress made it illegal to send SPAM when they enacted the CAN SPAM ACT in 2003. The CAN SPAM ACT became law in January of 2004. This act makes it illegal to send unsolicited bulk email and put an end to a great deal of the SPAM that Americans are getting.
Email marketers are obliged to get permission to send marketing emails to people so the opt-in list was created.
Today sending bulk marketing emails will get you into a lot of hot water and cost you many thousands of dollars if you are caught doing it. The fines can be as high as $11,000 per bulk email sent that was unsolicited.
Email marketers must have permission to send marketing emails. This is simply a matter of getting people to sign into an opt-in list. The other half of the problem is to get them to add your email address to their white list in their email programs.

Email Marketing Growing Pains

Do you remember when you were a child and you hit a growing spurt? It was downright painful.
Your joints hurt, remember ? These episodes were referred to as growing pains. They were nothing to be concerned about. They were simply the inevitable discomfort of maturing.
When email marketing was in its infancy, everbody could simply email everybody else. There were no restrictions. Once a marketer had an email address he could just send all of the marketing emails he wished to. The recipients could like it or lump it. Email marketing was growing and that growth produced a lot of pain and discomfort for a lot of people.
The growth of email marketing became too painful to so many that the Congress of the United States had to act . . . and it took an act of Congress to contain the problem. The CAN SPAM ACT was passed by Congress in 2003 and became law in 2004.
With the passage of this act it became necessary for email marketers to get permission of recipients of their marketing email messages to send to them.
Today opt-in lists are the life blood of all legitimate email marketers. Building an opt-in list is the number one and constantly on-going task for all of them. List building is probably the single most discussed and written about subject among email marketers today.
The autoresponders provide code for putting opt-in boxes on websites. All of them do that.
Getting an opt-in box on a website is one of the simplest things that a website owner or email marketer does. Opt-in boxes should always be placed above the scroll line and there should be an opt-in box on every single page of a website.
List building must come first and the goal of a large and impressive opt-in list must be pursued daily by legitimate email marketers.

Ghostly Help for Email Marketers

Time ! It is one of the most precious of all commodities. It cant be bought or sold. We all get the same amount each day. How we use that time will determine how successful (or unsuccessful)we become.
Email marketing is filled with time consuming tasks each day. If we could buy an extra hour, we would at almost any price. The number one time consuming task that every email marketer is faced with day in and day out is list building. Without opt-in lists, we dont have a business and building those lists means that we have to do many time consuming things.
Cheer up ! There is help available. While you cant exactly buy an extra hour, you can get more people to contribute work within the hours that already exists. You will find many services listed on the Internet for ghost writers, as well as, for article submission companies.
These services can help you do some of the more time consuming tasks associated with list building like writing and submitting articles and ebooks to repositories and banks.
You can hire ghost writers to write articles and ebooks for you at a very reasonable cost. Professional writers do the writing and you pay for them and legally claim authorship of those articles and ebooks. The usual going rate for a 300-400 word article is between $6 and $8 per article.
You can have other people submit your articles and ebooks to banks and repositories for you. The usual rate for submission varies greatly between companies. You can also have ghost writers write your blog and forum posts for you. This can save you many hours each and every week. Blog and forum posting rates vary. They are based on time needed and sometimes by the topic.

You dont have to worry about list buiding, so take a look at these site to find the business you are interested in:>>> http://homeincomeportal.com/tiatan787

Email Marketing Newsletters

If you are an email marketer and have not as yet started sending out newsletters to your lists, you need to get started doing that very thing and you need to start as soon as possibly can.
You will find that by perodically sending out a newsletter . . . as opposed to a marketing email, you will be able to increase your conversion rate by a considerable percentage.
Marketing emails are sent for the sole purposes of supplying information and promoting goodwill. Do not confuse the two . . . they are completely different.
1. A newsletter should include helpful and timely information. You should never include information about your business or your employees.
2. Make your newsletter a two-way conversation. Include a quiz (answers on your website), or a single opinion based question that you can compile answers to and post results on your website. Give customers a voice!
3. You can include advertisements for products but only for the ones that you are providing other information about. The advertisements shouldnt be intrusive, however. Place them between paragraphs of your newsletters and, of course, make certain that the links work.
4. Occasionally give away something free, People really do love getting gifts. Always be sure that they must go to your website in order to get whatever the free gift is that you are offering.
If you give opt-in list members the opportunity to share a free gift with their friends, you can use your newsletter to help build your list.
5. Dont forget to track your newsletter in the same way that you track your marketing emails. The information that you gather by tracking can help you to improve your next newsletter and help to improve your over-all conversion rate.

Ebooks and Email Marketing

Ebooks are the darlings of email marketing world today. They can be sold as stand-alone products, they can be used as opt-in incentives, they can be used as free gifts or incentives for other products or services or they can be bundled and sold with other products and services to simply enhanced the total value.
There are so many uses for ebooks of all lengths in today's email marketing universe. Writing and marketing ebooks for the purpose of enhancing an opt-in list is most certainly one of the uses of ebooks. Short ebooks that are only 10 to 12 pages long can be written easily and submitted to ebook repositories for other website owners or ezine publishers to reproduce.
Your website address should be on each and every page of a marketed ebook as well as in the resource box on the last page.
Website owners and ezine publishers can reproduce your eb0ok but they are required to reproduce it unchanged and they must include your resource box with any reproduction.
Its a great way to build an opt-in list and let others advertise for you at no charge. Short ebooks can also be included in bundled products and they can be used as free gifts.
To market an ebook as a stand-alone product, however, the ebook needs to be considerably longer. This isnt a written rule anywhere but the general concensus is that you can charge about $1 per 2 pages for an ebook. So if you want to charge $50 that means that the ebook needs to be about 100 pages long.
If you dont fancy yourself a writer, you can have ebooks written for you by ghost writers. You pay the ghost writer a one time charge for the work then it becomes yours. You can legally claim authorship of the work and sell it as your own.

B2B Email Marketing

B2B (Business to Business) email marketing is a bit different than B2C (Business to Customer) email marketing. If your email marketing business focuses on products and services that are only of interest to other Internet marketers or other online businesses, you need to be certain that you are not over-doing your email marketing letters.

Business oriented people see email marketing as a tool that can be useful but can also become not useful and even intrusive. People who are operating businesses online are extremely busy people.

Each day their email inboxes are full to the point of overflow. They have a monstrous number of requests and demands on their time, effort and energy. The marketing emails that you send to those who own their own Internet businesses or who work as purchasing agents for online businesses will not be amused if you send them long epistles extolling the advantages of a product.

They will even be less amused if you send these long emails everyday or more than once a day. These business people do know how to find the opt-out button and they will find it and use it.

Marketing emails that are sent to online businesses need to be extremely short . . . no more than 200 words. They need to make the point quickly and they need to be very easy for the recipient to SCAN . . . they will not be read . . . they will just be scanned.

Use bullet points. Make your case for their need to buy your product and how it can save them time, effort, energy or make their jobs easier in some way.

How your product can increase sales for the company they represent or increase sales of the products they sell themselves will also be noticed and possibly acted upon. All others will be deleted.

Conversion Rate Improvement Strategies

When you send out a marketing email do you track it? Do you track it in real-time? Are you making note of the open-rate and the link-click rate? If you werent doing those things then you need to start and you need to start yesterday!
Are you sending the same marketing email to your entire list ? Is there just one email you send and it goes to every name on your list no matter what their age or reasons for buying the product might be? If you are doing that, you need to stop and you need to stop yesterday!
Behind each and every name and email address on your mailing list is a real live person. You will have people of different ages and who are at different points in their lives.
For example, you may have young mothers with small children, middle aged men or women who have been the victims of company down-sizing, as well as, older people who have retired from their professional lives.
Each of these groups of people may be interested in buying the product that you are promoting but they will be interested for different reasons. Maybe your product will save time.
That point will be important to both the young mothers and the middle aged people but it wont matter much to the older people. Maybe it has features that are interesting and useful.
Interesting and useful will be the main selling point for older people. Direct your message to the hearts and minds of the individuals you are selling to.
Track each and every email marketing campaign. Find out what is working, as well as, what isnt working. It could be that when you send out a marketing email there are many link-clicks.
That will be one that worked. It could also be that when you send out a marketing email you have a larger than usual opt-in rate. Dont do that one again.

Email Marketing Signature Tags

It is so strange but there are email marketers out there who have never given any serious thought to the signature that appears below all of their email correspondence including the marketing emails that they send out to their lists.

Otherwise very savvy and even successful email marketers simply overlook the importance of their signature file.

The signature file that you insert at the bottom of all correspondence is the very essence of your business. After your logo or heading that appears at the top of your correspondence, the signature is the next time that you get to say who you are and what your business is.

Your signature doesnt need to be added to the bottom of email that you send to customers, potential customers, suppliers, colleagues, media contacts, or potential joint venture partners just as an after thought.

Your signature file should have about six lines in it.It needs to say something important or even descriptive about you and your business to the recipients of your email messages, as well as, provide information.

These six lines should contain your name of course . . . after all it is a signature. Below your name there should be the name of your business. There should also be links to your website and you need to double and triple check that these lines actually work.

After sending hundreds or even thousands of emails, it is a bit shocking to find out that there is an error in your link and it doesnt even work.

A motto or a statement about your business should always be in your signature file. "Your needs are our business " or something similar will do.

Your signature should be separated from the body of the email be a single line like (-------) or double line like (======). This break line needs to appear both above and below your signature lines.

Effective Email Marketing

Before we go into the above topic I would like you to enjoy and admire more pictures.
There is a lot of email marketing done everyday but not a lot of it is effective email marketing. Anybody who can manage to build a list . . . or buy a list can send marketing emails. Just because marketing emails are sent doesnt mean that the email marketer is going to actually make any sales.
There are those naive souls who believe that they can buy a list for just a few dollars , get a free autoresponder and, presto, be in business as an email marketer. If only it were that simple!
First . . . effective email marketing lists are built . . . not bought. It takes time, effort, energy and know-how to build one. Effective lists arent for sale at any price.
Opt-in lists that are actually made up of the names and addresses of those people who are likely to buy whatever it is that you are selling are built using proven list building techniques.
None of these techniques are easy or fast but all of them serve to build effective email marketing opt-in lists.
Second . . . Free autoresponders will not be helpful. The free autoresponder services will usually only allow you one autoresponder, they usually do not include a personalization feature and neither do they include tracking features.
Another feature that the free versions of autoresponders do not provide is the ability to send marketing emails in both plain text formats as well as in HTML formats.
All of these features are needed . . . they are even vital to email marketers.
Third . . . just writing effective marketing emails is a skill that requires much practice.
Many brand new email marketers make huge mistakes when sending out their marketing emails
and until they take the time to learn the form of an effective marketing email, they arent going to be sending effective marketing emails and they arent going to be making many sales.

Pictures to Admire

Different Strokes for Different Folks in Email Marketing

Different Strokes was a television program that aired in the late 1970s and early 1980s that starred Gary Coleman, Todd Bridges, Dana Plato, and Conrad Bain. The saying, different strokes for different folks was a popular response in those years, as well, for any situation that called attention to something out of what was considered the norm.
Different strokes for different folks is also a premise that can be applied to the fine art of email marketing, too.
For example, lets say that your product is one that would be used by people who are looking for a way to work from their homes. Your mailing list might have young mothers who find it difficult to leave their small children and work outside their homes. Your list might also contain names of retired individuals who are looking for a way to supplement their retirement incomes.
Your list might also contain names of handicapped people, as well as, middle aged men who have been victims of downsizing. If you send identical marketing emails to every segment of your opt-in list, it is going to have to be pretty generic, to say the least.
Each of these distinct groups of people may well be interested in your product but each group will have a different reason for being interested in it.
Break your email list down into groups of people who would buy your products for the same reason. Categorize! You can do this very easily by simply asking your potential customers about themselves.
Without asking for specific information, in your next email communication with your list, include a questionaire that is designed to answer questions that will give you enough information to break your list into groups based on age or other criteria.
Different strokes for different folks . . . send age and situation appropriate emails to each different group.

Autoresponders Making the Right choice

All autoresponders are not created equally. There are paid for versions and there are free versions. The amount of money you pay for a service has no bearing on how good the service will be.
You simply need to be certain that the autoresponder that you choose to use will provide you with all the features that you really need in order for you to get the most out of it. Your autoresponder is, after all, your connection to your list of customers. This really isnt a place where you can safely cut corners or try to lower your expenses.
When you are deciding on the autoresponder that you will use for your email marketing business, be certain that it has all of the following features:
1. A personalization feature: This is so important! You need to have the ability to use the first names of your customers and potential customers in all email correspondence that you have with them.
Nobody wants to be, Dear Friend. The Internet provides anonymity but nobody want to be that anonymous.
2. Ability to send in either HTML or Plain Text format: You want to be able to send your messages using both formats rather than having to choose. You can let the email programs of the recipients choose which version of your email to provide to your recipient.
If you can use HTML, you can use pictures, graphics and other media that can help to sell your product or service.
3. Provide Reports: You need reports about your email marketing campaigns that can help you fine tune them and make them more and more effective.
If you dont know what happened this time, you wont know what needs to be tweaked for the next campaign.

Today I will try to post a few pictures for you to enjoy and admire.

CAN SPAM and You

SPAM got to be such a major problem for so many people in US that Congress actually had to do something about it. There was a lot of discussion (as well as just cussin) and email marketers were really afraid of what would happen to their businesses when this act was passed in 2003.
There was, however, some lead time and some email marketers set up opt-in lists to use rather than just sending out bulk unsolicited emails. It turned out that the CAN SPAM act was actually a blessing to legitimate email marketers.
The ones that got hurt were the unscrupulous ones who sent out that awful porn and sexually explicit type emails to unsuspecting recipients when the act became the law of the land in January of 2004.
Before CAN SPAM, most people would find hundreds of emails in the inboxes each and every day. The ones from their friends and families were buried somewhere in the pile of unsolicited bulk emails.
The emails from their friends and families, as well as, those from legitimate email marketers were all lumped together in one huge stack and people were far less than happy with the situation.
The law that made email marketers create opt-in lists has actually turned out to be a very good thing. The emails that are sent are sent only to those who want to get them and are most likely to act on the messages included in them.
Of course, everybody still gets at least some SPAM everyday or almost everyday.
The SPAMMERS simply change email addresses and continue to SPAM but the problem is slowly coming under control which is a real boon to all email recipients as well as to legitimate email marketers.
The penalties provided in the law are stiff and are a great deterrent to those who would like to send SPAM.

To-day I must first apologies to those who have been following the articles about email marketing. I have not posted any articles since October 1st because I had some problem with internet access. On the 2nd October my computer suddenly could not access the internet. I checked with the technical support from service provider and found that the signals from the phone line are not coming in although I could use the phone. I thought the router modem was not working and bought a new one. In the end you wont believe -the telecom people mistakenly cut off my broadband line. They restored my broadband line but I wasted 5 days not being able to do anything online. I shall now go on to the next article on email marketing.
