My First Blog

Welcome to my first blog. I have retired from the education service about fifteen years. Time really flies. This year I suddenly realised that fifteen years have gone by; and what have I done?

I have not achieved anything significant yet although I have tried to do many things which I had planned to do before I retired. Life has been tough for me but I must say that I have learnt a lot from life during my travels. I have in fact travelled quite a lot and also spent a lot of money. Luckily, I worked in the civil service and that saved me a lot especially in medical fees, etc. I get a sizable amount of pension money enough for me to survive until now. I have been to China, Europe, US and Canada, Malaysia, Thailand, Australia, Indonesia, Philipines, Britain, Scotland, Tasmania, New Zealand, Borneo, Sarawak and Sumatra. Besides travelling I got my involved in the running of the estate that I live in ie Laguna Park. Many people asked me how I pass my time during retirement. I said simply, get yourself involved. There are many smart alacks who think I am very stupid to get involve in other people's problems. It has been proven that it kept me busy and the important thing is that it keeps my brain working. If one does not keep the brain working every day the grey cells will wither and the person will end up walking around like a zombie. So it is very important to keep oneself busy and active.
