Bringing Up Children Also Father's Duty

Around this time of the year children in many families appreciate what their mothers had done in bringing them up and giving them guidance in their younger days. This celebration of mothers' day is catching up in Asian countries. The children who can afford would buy gifts or flowers for their mothers with cards that contain sweet words appreciating their mothers love and care for them. This makes the mothers very happy; knowing that their hard work has been acknowledged . Until recently fathers' day has not been celebrated. I believe this is due the commercial sector not promoting it and not because the children think that fathers' efforts in bringing them up. Usually mothers spend more time with the kids as in most cases the fathers are the breadwinners while the mothers care for the kids. I believe that bringing up children is a responsibility that should be shared between the mother and the father. The fathers should try to find time to care for their children. Responsible fathers would try to find time to spend some quality time with their children. I appreciate the efforts of such fathers. Do they expect their children to be filial to them if they hardly follow up on what their children are up to. In the worst case scenario fathers are interested only in their own interests and pleasures giving excuses that they work very hard and deserve their favourite pleasures. In Japan fathers were encouraged to attend courses teaching them how to be better fathers. I hope other countries will also introduce this training so that future young children will grow up to be better citizens. For everyone do not stop learning as learning is an on-going activity and you can find out how to continue learning >>>.......
