There are never any side effects associated with the use of any home remedy that I have ever read about, heard about, or used. On the other hand, every single prescription drug that I have ever read about, heard about, or used comes with a long list of possible side effects.
And some of the possible side effects listed for prescription drugs sound worse than the problems they are supposed to be making better.
Home remedies cannot handle emergency situations, and neither can they be substituted for some medical needs. But they can be used rather than prescription drugs for many common human maladies and minor injuries. Long before there were 10 medical doctors and a drug store on every corner, people used home remedies to heal themselves and their families. These home remedies were effective for people then, and they are still effective for people now.
People just don't usually turn to the use of home remedies. They run to their doctors, get a prescription, and run to the drug store when what they needed to make themselves feel better was most likely sitting on their pantry shelf.
Some people will look at home remedies and see what they consider inferior information and inferior medical care that was put together by uneducated backwoods hillbillies.
Others will look at home remedies and see a treasure trove of information that has served human kind for untold generations -- information that was obtained through necessity and experience.
The people who view home remedies as inferior information and inferior medical treatment need to remember that most of the prescriptions that those medical doctors write are for synthetic versions of old home remedies -- the old home remedies that don't have side effects. Home remedies are a treasure trove of information. When this information is understood and put into use, it can provide safe, effective treatment that will have no side effects and be almost completely free.
