Home Remedies - Alcoholism

Alcoholism is not a modern disease. It's been around for more than a few centuries now. Alcoholism has ruined many lives and broken up many families. Alcoholism is an addiction; some call it a disease. Physically, alcoholism affects the digestive system, the pancreas, the liver, and the heart.
The best known of all organisations that help alcoholics is AA. This organization is based upon a 12-step program that deals with the mental and emotional stress caused when an alcoholic decides to stop drinking. There are other organizations and facilities that exist for the purpose of helping an alcoholic get sober and stay sober.
The first step for an alcoholic to take is to decide that he wants to stop drinking. There are no home remedies and no medical treatments that can cause a human to make that decision, and until that decision is made, the alcoholism cannot be cured by anybody or anything. However, once the decision is made by the alcoholic to stop drinking, there are some things in the home remedy bag of tricks that can actually make the physical part of the alcohol withdrawal much easier.
