Getting an Online Degree? But why?

In today's world, success depends on many things that have always been vital -- hard work, drive, dependability, motivation, etc. -- but today there is another nearly essential ingredient. That ingredient of success is a college diploma.
Without a college diploma, the jobs that will be open are mostly manual labor. You can flick burgers or pick fruits. Those without a college diploma are on the very bottom of the earning potential heap. Of course there are exceptions -- but these are exceptions , not probabilities.
Maybe you have a great love of sports. You are really good, say, baseball player. That's great, but all sorts of things can happen. You might get injured and not be able to play baseball. Or you might just not ever make it to the major leagues, or even to the minor leagues. Still you do love baseball and would like to earn your living by being involved in some way with the sport.
The fact is that those nine players who take the field are just the tip of the employment opportunities that result for the INDUSTRY of baseball.
You might get an online degree in business and be able to work for a baseball organisation. Maybe you could get a degree in health and work with baseball players to keep them healthy and to deal with injuries that they suffer. There are lots of ways to look at things, and it is always wise to have a plan B at your finger tips if plan A goes down the tube.
You can earn a college degree online while still holding a full-time job or pursuing other job opportunities. Unlike brick-and-mortar colleges, class schedules are very flexible, and you can move at your own pace. But move, you should. There is nothing wrong in pursuing a dream, but there isn't anything wrong with preparing for the future, either, and the two are compatible.
